No Or Bad Signal

Hi people im back with a new problem.

Got a line thats been working OK so far, a bit on and off a times but not too bad.

This morning my Sly sports and movies says "No or Bad Signal", yet I sitting here now watching ESPM HD without a problem, also Sly 1 and 2 are working fine.

My line supplier says its dish alignment or faulty LNB but I just cant see that being the problem, can anyone shed some line if its a problem my end or one at his end?

Can only assume there has been no complaints from his other customers that's why he said that,have you tried a scan.

Yea I did a full scan and still nothing.

I fell asleep on the sofa watching a movie, woke up this morning and it was gone. Not had any bad weather or anything here so I just dont understand it

Have a check at the connections,change the splitter.

I have the same problem after moving house, completed a scan, re-aligned the dish etc but no luck. Checked the signal strength on the box stength and quality bout at 85% but when its scanning the channels it drops for certain channels for some reason. checked on my sky box also and it gets a good signal and quality also.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Strenght on my blade box is 98%,is there any channels working.

yeah there are a load working but a load that are not. every channel says 98% when i select them but the ones that are not working the 98% is in red. when i go into installation and dish setting thats where my level and quality are 85% which i assume should be ok to run sky channels. sky 1, sky 2, alatantic, sky sports 2 are a few that dont work but sky sports 2 hd works which i find strange. I ssume that if it was my line supplier it would say scrambled channel and not "no or bad signal"

I have also updated to the latest Oct firmware but no change

Assumed that all channels were not working,if the channels show scrambled thats normally your cline supplier.
If you moved house and using USALS that may have to be changed.

im not sure what USALS is?? I have checked that site and this page http://en.kingofsat.net/tp.php?tp=364 seems to be the channels im missing tho not sure where to go from here, does this mean my dish needs re-aligned or different lnb or something or is is just settings?

When i go to my dish setting and choose the frequency 12.284Ghz right enough it shows quality as 23% which is the frequency the channels im missing come under according to that website.

Dish seems OK,forget about USALS if you have not used them.

Go to the top right of http://en.kingofsat.net/ and search for say,Sky Sports 2 and try a manual scan on the show frequencies,the one I'm using now is 12207 V S/R 275 on 28.2E

Presume an auto scan was done,perhaps a blind scan will pick them up,it takes longer

tried the blind scan but because the quality is so low it still wont pick anything up at the frequency i need. would it be possible at all that if i was running the old style sky dish, the light grey one and possiblly the old multi lnb that this is why its not picking it up? its strange it could pick up the frequencies either side of the one i need but not the one i actually want

nope nothing just starts to scan then stops but quality is only 21-23%

well you are not picking up anything the quality of 21-23% is no signal you would get that with no coax in your box so i would check all your connections especially you f connectors the times i have disturbed them and had no signal always worth a try checking the

but i have signal on all other channels just not on that frequency

The settings you have are almost the same as the box I have,remove the splitter(if using one) and try for the frequency your after.

The channels you seek more than often use more than one frequency,do a search on http://en.kingofsat.net/ for another frequency
