BIZZARE ISSUE WITH 2 BLADES! Empty BIZZARE ISSUE WITH 2 BLADES!

Post by Ebee Fri Oct 07 2011, 11:36

I've got 2 Blades setup but when 1 is switched on the other starts glitching & then after 30 seconds displays the msg 'Bad or no signal' & this happens on most pay channels. But once box 1 is put in stand-by mode box 2 starts working perfectly!
I've checked with my line provider & he says all working fine on his end & both boxes do connect to the server with different usernames.

Both boxes are connected to a quad lnb, with 1 box connected directly to the router & the other going through a TP Link ethernet switch.

Has anybody had any similar issues!??

Not tried your set up but would suggest remove tp link test both on same router and see what happens

Connect both directly to the router at the same time ( that maybe what "dooby" is saying)

Tried both boxes connected directly to the router, worked OK for a few mins then the one box started playing up as before!

It's a Netgear router from vermin.

I just tried downgrading the firmware to BM7000s-122p-25-04-11 from BM7000s-06-09-11-7d-beta but same issue BUT then upgraded to the non beta. Now instead of the 'Bad or no signal' msg I get the 'scrambled channel'. It only affects random HD channels i.e. ESPN HD, various Sky HD movies channels but the standard def version of these same channel work fine!!!! STRANGE!!!!

Have you bought two subs or some servers give access to 2 boxes for bit more cash as there end will tell if two boxes connected to same sub

Also negear router dont work well with firmwares above 122p so stick with 122p untill sorted

Yep, all working!!!

Reckon it's the actual lengh of the cable (20m) that was causing it to glitch. Some powerline adapters sorted it!!!
