I have just got my Blade box & having connected everything up & turning it on for the 1st time i am having some issues with the remote

The Blade doesnt seem to react to the box, so i am unable to even get past the language set up screen! Ive tried changing the batteries & tried various distances from the box, but no joy

does anybody have any thoughts on why this might be?

Check it is the remote,
Using a mobile phone camera point at the I/R on the remote and press any button on the remote,if it lights up it's not the remote.

To reset the box to its factory default state do the following: With the
box turned off hold the MENU button down on the front panel. Power the
box up while still holding the menu button down. You will now see the
Engineer Boot Menu. Select Option 3 to perform a factory reset on the
box. PLEASE NOTE: This will erase all user settings on the box and
return it to its factory state.

no matter what i do with the remote i just get a red light!

just tried a factory reset hoping that it was something with the box, but the remote still just gives me a red light

i have contacted where i brought it from & they suggested "could be a faulty remote if its beed dropped etc"

now as i only took it out of the box today & havent dropped the remote, this can only of happened in transit

so i am guessing my only option is to chase them for a replacement remote??

Do you have a white light at the end of the remote when using the camera? (be surprised if its the remote)

no white light showing (ive checked a couple of other remotes i have tv etc which show a white light)

also i did read the part by the photo on the link & got that menu up for a factory reset

Sounds like you are correct about the remote, tell the supplier the red light works but the I/R don't and has never worked.
