Re: New SV Firmware 09/06/11
What SV want to do is charge you for using their service this is after saying the box will last a year, which some people did not receive.
Look in the downloads section T/R of page and download StarviewSupportRequest and make your own mind up,personally I would give up on that box,

Re: New SV Firmware 09/06/11
For the last 5 or more years ive supported starview boxs because the main supplyers couldnt be bothered too, but now the channels are off then on now it's pay us some money and then your trapped into a service which could go off at anytime and then your back to square one and to be honest the picture quality of sv 6&7 is complete crap we live in HD times and these boxes just dont cut it anymore
Starview you had a good run R.I.P

Re: New SV Firmware 09/06/11
Hi guys used this site for viewing for a while, great info.
My 1st post though... Can any1 recommend a decent dish suitable for the blade, from what i'm reading i dont need sly or vErjin installed, just a dish and LAN connection,
Install, select card share and off I go.
Was using SV for years but time to give up me thinks.

Re: New SV Firmware 09/06/11
What you say is mostly correct,no need for VM for Lan connection as any net feed will do.
Triax Dish is the one most people recommend, getting a motorised one will give more satelite choices.

Re: New SV Firmware 09/06/11
paying £25 for 6months to starview is good value,IF THE SERVICE IS GOOD. I feel its a gamble worth taking.
