dreambox 500 intermittent signal

:)hi all ,

have recently got a dreambox and have been experiencing signal probs, i usually have high 96+ on strength and 90+ qual but intermittenetly i get bad sig message and picture blacks out.i have a single f type lnb feed from my landlord that is going through a 2400mhz 2 way splitter /booster than to dreambox .all f type connections are tight.(i live in tower block and we had to take down all our individual sat dish and it is virtually impossible to check alignment or lnb on dish).

i am an electrician and been installing cables for 25 years and i cant seeany wiring/ connection issues (doesn't mean there isn't any). used to have box supe:pirat:r and vaguely remember having firmware and settings probs.

is it possible that i have a setup issue ?

could anyone give me a few pointers on dbox as i am new to this

also i have got a hdd freesat box and was hoping to connect this thru splitter or do you think i will have restrictions due to only one lnb feed in flat

Using the freesat will confirm if the dish/cables are OK
The splinter/booster maybe the problem
Is the box well vented.

got evrything back on now jon mate. had to strip all wiring out from behind tv and reterminate it all.

splitter works fine as well so now can watch fta hd channels, very happy
