stuck on the menu page?

hi all im looking for a bit of help im in the midlands area was on the lap top and telly on in the background all was ok, looked up half hour later and tell is stuck on page main menu ? when i try to exit it goes to easy insulation and it says 0000 on the box, i tryed power off for 30 secs but no joy,{and power button on back of box, p.s when im on the menue page all works fine? thxs for you help guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11:D

ive done a factory reset and installation,auto serch network 4t/w channel serch type and all i can get is sky s 4, and about 8 other channels, dont know where im going wrong now? tryed ntl search and nothing? cant rember where i started from now can any 1 help ?

factory default then start again reboot box and router, then menu >installation>0000>correct provider >green button to scan, there is a few transponders still down ,but you should get more than that, then plug in your ethernet and go to sky sports 1 it should come on

Check your VM sub box__Settings/Tech Stuff/No1 that will show which NetID to use should be
NetId - 41015 (a037) - Birmingham TDN
NetId - 41011 (a033) - Birmingham 750
Your provider is TW
As you are only receiving one TP you should scaning on Network (don't scan on All
Menu/Auto Search/
Network OK====TW
Channel Search Type===Network

thxs charlie, ive tryed but keeps going back on menu page and i dont know what ive flicked over and what i havent{messed with} hope the transponders are back up soon couldent rember my providers, nice one 4 helping:D

A VERY BIG THXS TO JONPC,

You sure do know your stuff, what i did was as you said only thing was i wasent sure what to go on b'ham tdn or b'ham750, so i chose b,ham tdn. all back up bar a few but mainly itv1 and c4 dont know what to do as i cant get them on normal telly upstairs so might be signal probs? but they were all fine on the box tv downstairs yesterday {but not upstairs} do i need to rescan on the NetId - 41011 (a033) - Birmingham 750 as well or will the box update itself? i noticed all the hd channels gone from the channel list but thats fine as i never had hd anyway. any thoughts on the above regs eggy!!

There is still some TPs missing as ITV1 and Channels 4 use the same TP
The VM sub box (the one you pay for) press Settings / Tech Stuff / top one shows the correct Net ID for your area.
