kryptview flashing tut

A simple guide for updating your kryptview

1.Without power connected connect your Kryptview to the pc seriel port using a null modem cable

2.Open the loader application

3.Click on the big green "download tab" or you can click:tools-Si-Si send

4.Click "open" and locate the firmware that you have previously saved on your PC

5.Click the "start" button and immediately plug the box in OR on the A750 flick the power switch on the back of box and the download will begin
If your using a usb-seriel converter and your getting error messages or "download not requested" have a read of this tut by satsmo to configure it correctly or get a seriel pci card they're a couple of pound more than these crap usb converters

When the download is complete reconnect the box to TV and cable feed.

Delete all channel data and do a factory reset

Fresh Scan

1.Menu-Iinstallation-Automatic search

2.Select your ex provider ex CW,NTL,TW ect.A list of network id's will appear so select the one that applies to you,if your net id isnt there press the RED button to scan entire network.

3.Once the scan is complete and you have exited the menu put the box in standby (power search mode) for 5-10 mins so it arranges the channels.

as i dnt own a kryptview yet im getting 1 soon and looking up as many tuts as possable so when i do get 1 i will have all the info i need to get up and runnin

THIS TUTORIAL ALSO APPLIES TO THE A780 AS IT USES THE SAME MENUS AND

NETWORK I.D.`s ETC

BUT THE A780 ALSO NEEDS A PERMANENT ETHERNET CONNECTION FROM THE BACK

OF YOUR A780 TO THE ROUTER (NOT THE MODEM)

nb: ALWAYS USE THE TOP CABLE INPUT CONNECTOR WHEN CONNECTING YOUR FEED

CABLE INTO THE BOX

enter your password which should be 0000 then press ok

on the installation menu you need to go down to the factory default

choose factory default and press ok

if warning msg appears click ok to return to default

click factory default setting

after u have done yr factory default you should see new page "easy

instalation "

now choose automatic search

you should see network (ok)-----1 ntl choose yr network ie tw and

press green button only

after you have pressed the green button u should see network scan page

and add tp list

after you see this screen you will get another with a list of areas
pick your net id or nearest area and press ok let the box do the rest

thats it

note: a factory reset is achieved like this :- menu>install>factory

default,,pin 0000,, factory reset is at the bottom

yea m8 lol saw that 1 aswell but i find it easier to follow text instructions than keep pausing and restarting vids lol

if they cant follow both of them give up,handy when boxes arrive again better not be asking how to flash
