no kryptview yet

hi guys can anyone help me here? i still can't get any channels is there something i'm not doing rite thanks in advance

do you have the jan firmware or later on box,if so have you the lan cable connected and power off box modem and router for 30 secs then on

sorry don't no about firmware but tried switching off and back on still nothing i do need my sports channels guys ? lol

Check which firmware is on the box,
Menu - System Info - What does it state.?

Did the box show sports channels before.?

hi mate it states date 17/05/2010
software version kryptview pv3.2.00
H/W version v2.0.0 yes had all the sports channels

Firmware way out of date,Menu - Installation - 0000 -S/W Update

tried all you said mate still getting no or bad signal

Did the box update.? Menu - System Info
If it did update factory reset and rescan from a direct feed (no splitter)
If it did not ,update manually install update from downloads.(03/01/2011 version)

just to add in 1 weeks time old firmware will not work so get your box updated or face a blank screen.

are you paying a min package sub? if not you may have been cut off
you cannot exit menu until you scan in channels.

yes got xl package scaning just says already exists. if i delete all channels how do i restore them sorry for being a pest but i do not no anything about this setup thank you

have you selected correct network eg telewest,then start search you should get a list of network id , chose your area, then start scan,this should work

hi charlie did as you said network id comes up with already exists and goes back to easy installation

sounds like a signal issue,take out box and reboot router and box, then, factory default and rescan

After firmware has been installed your Net ID can be obtained from a VM sub box (Settings - Tech Stuff top one
If no sub box ,Telewest with one of these IDs
NetId - 40982 (a016) - Dundee (Edinburgh 2)

NetId - 41003 (a02b) - Edinburgh 1 TRIALS
NetId - 41009 (a031) - Falkirk

Have a try at updating with the remote,Menu - Installation.
The above normallly only works with this years 03/01/11 but give it a try

Once the 03/01/11 software has been installed it is now possible to update box with remote to 24/04/11 software.

Factory Default may be needed, rescan from a direct feed, from wall socket no splitter.
Then reconnect box to internet via ethernet cable.

Which box do you have.?
Do you have any channels.?
What software is on the box,? Menu - System Info.
Did all the channels ever work.
Do you have a Virgin Media sub box?, one you pay for. check for the correct Net ID (From VNM remote Settings - Tech Stuff - Net ID No1
