Box Problems 10/03/12
Some folks are having problems with signal this is nothing to do with KV
Check there is a live feed
Does the box have the latest firmware (from remote Menu-Installation- S/W Update
Is there any channels working
Reboot box,modem and router
State area as it could be a VM problem
Do you subscribe to VM,you may have been disconnected

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
I am on VM in the Dudley area and cannot get any prem channels but I am getting the normal free ones. Ihave tried all the usual staff e.g booting both router and box, channel rescanning on direct feed. No joy for me. Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
If you have a VM sub box,check the NetID (Setting-Tech Stuff-Top 1
and factory reset and rescan using NetID from VM box.
VM MAY have changed the NetID for some areas or it may be an area problem.

That does appear to be the problem.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
I have followed the instructions of running S/W update. It seems the box is stuck on "Searching new update". Do I have to use a direct feed for this process. It's been almost 10mins now and nothing is happening. How long does it take to complete this process?

It only takes a moment, you are connect to the net some say rescan after update I have never done rescan after update
Did you check first to see if the box needed to be updated,Menu-System Info Date ???? should be 29/11/11

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
System infodate is 24/04/11. I think it needs to be updated. I'll keep trying and hopefully it should work. Do I have to update using a direct feed or it should work through the router.

Have never done a factory reset either, I don't see the needed as box works OK without.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
You are updating the software not searching for channels, therefore the box needs to be connected to the net.
There is no need to disconnect or rescan anything just do a software update via remote.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
The box is connected directly to the net whilst performing the update. I'm just wondering wether there's something wrong with the box because it is stuck on searching the update.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
The box may have to be update via cable if it can't be updated via remote.Set-Up Kryptview A780
If the box shows searching for update after being switched On looks like it will have to be update manually or reinstall 24/4/11 then try to update via remote.
Is the ethernet cable from router to box OK.

Ethernet is connected from router to box. To reinstall the firmware do I need to flash the system before installing the updated version.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
I'm presuming that the box is OK and is not stuck on update,if so try to update via the remote.
If not, install firmware via cable from PC to box

I have tried this several times with no joy. I think I am just going to manually install the latest version. Will let you know how it goes.
Thanks.

Re: Box Problems 10/03/12
The firmware on the box is the latest that can be download manually Arpri 2011
Reinstall Arpil 2011 then try to update via remote
Just a thought try and update straight from the modem to box with remote
