info on the new boxs in general
hi,
I had the starview original clone for years without any problems but since the change over i have been out of touch with all the new boxs and how they work.
what is the best box to buy at the moment that is HD and can get me what i had with my old starview box.
also does it have to be plugged into the tinty to work and can you get caught by your provider this way.
any advice would be greatful.
thanks.

Re: info on the new boxs in general
To give you piece of mind, buy a splitter and have the 2 boxes connected, they might think something is fishy if they are not communicating with the subbed box
i have both connected
i have both connected

Re: info on the new boxs in general
sorry for sounding ignorant, but if the provider knows you have one then is it worth the risk of using one?
with my old starview clone which is still working today in my bedroom(FTA) only, that didnt send any signal i was led to believe so as long as i had the other box plugged in then they were non the wiser.
will they only know you are using one if you dont plug the original in?
also sorry to be a pain... but if all is rosey and i do get one can iplug a wireless dongle into the box and go through my router or do they require straight conection with the modem?
It used to be so much easier!
thanks.
