a big thx buddy great tut.waitin on pt2.is there anyway of updating the unofficial firmware via the internet rather than stick?

Cheers Wink

The USB pen drive's the fastest and easiest way possible - you just buy a £4 USB drive, download the file from somewhere like the 4shared site mentioned in the guide 4shared - choose Blade 119 STB file and then go to Menu/Utils/Download and press OK on the latest .STB file - take about 90 seconds and your box is updated Smile

The other way would involve using the STB loader (set top box) and using a Null Modem Cable - which takes about 8 times longer and would need a fair level of PC literacy to set the USB->Serial cable to COM 1 within the Computer Management console, advance features section to even get going.

USB is a piece of cake and you can back up your entire .STB (the boxs operating system), channel lists as well as any 'special added features' info Cool onto the one Pen Drive - so you've got it all in one pocket sized stick bounce

It's a typo m8 - should be .com (not .net!)

Thanks Nobby 11

I know it has been touched on befrore , but I assume cs servers constantly vary , reliability wise. any thoughts on a current stable server. I don't want to pay for 12 months to find the owner shuts up shop and moves to the caribbean. anyone dealt with a good provider for a while.

Cheers Guys (and girls if there are any)

If for any reason your BM7000s fails to bootup, and all you can see is a flashing Red dot on the front panel,
theres no need to worry, as this can easily be fixed.

Here's how to fix the BM7000s, and restore it back to normal.

If you Google the following: BM7000 Bootup Error Fix you will find a visual tutorial on what to do.

The Blade Combo can be used with VM Broadband.

A private server is then needed with a VM feed to watch encrypted
channels (eg sport movies).

Best to look at KV or SV boxes for cable

On the offical BM website it lists "Distributors" in the USA,must presume the box is OK for the US.

There is no names in distributors list for the US Very Happy
