Ok, it was my memory stick. I tried a different stick & it worked (i think!)
I followed the procedure for the starview 6 but without inserting the numbers 8989. This was because i didnt have the option to set the code on the accessory page.
Its working tho

Have you tried hooking it up directly with an ethernet cable?

the short cable you received plugs into the back of your sv7 and the eternet cable is connected from your router to the short cable on the box it must be switched on when you are using the box and the box will not scan unless the eternet cable is connected

what firmware is on your box
does it say sv7 on front of unit as sv7 does not have a cat5 lan port.

hi,

sv7 on face of box.

carling 1.02 installed.

all the fta channels nice and clear coming through.

there is a port with pin either side at the back of box. fastened the m/f to this, fastend the phone jack extension to the m/f, fastened the wifi bridge to phone jack point as well as the usb port for power.

this morning i did the following;

factory delete
autoscan 6952
network - ip setup - ustream
emulator - 8989 - everything on

all i get is fta

i ordered a sv6 from wiz, they sent me a sv7, would love to get it working.

*********** GREAT NEWS **************

SV7 FULLY WORKING - POW !

I DID NOT DO ANYTHING EXTRA, JUST LIKE I SAID ABOVE, ALL I GOT WAS THE FTA, SO ALL I DID WAS WATCH FTA FOR NEARLY 2 DAYS & ALL OF A SUDDEN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN IT SAID - CONNECTED - I CHECKED ALL THE $$$ CHANNELS ALL GOOD.

MY ADVICE IS;

LOAD THE FIRMWARE
RUN THE SCAN
USTREAM
EMULATOR - 8989 - ALL TURNED ON
LINK ETHERNET CABLE / WI FI BRIDGE
SIT BACK AND WATCH THE FTA - MY SVY TOOK NEARLY 2 DAYS TO GET CONNECTED TO ALL CHANNELS

it all came to place when i just left the sv7 on fta channels, turned off the laptop, and the wi fi bridge must have picked up the signal overnight as there was no other traffic.............worked for me and you guys know i was trying all sorts.

Has this been a problem all the time for your box ar is it just recently.
Have you tried a factory reset scanning from a direct feed.
