I had the same problem I downloaded the firmware onto my desktop then then used the drag and drop onto a usb stick i could not flash with the null cable i just connected the box to TV and followd the tut for installing the sv6 don't forget the lan cable when you start the scan I am well pleased with it upto now

I couldn't get carling 1.02 to work either but used carling 1.03 and it worked first time...
