[solved]kryptview - transponder problem Empty kryptview - transponder problem

Post by fib987 Sat Aug 07 2010, 15:18

my kryptview box only picks up 1 transponder after a factory reset.
i do auto search on ex-cw and select network from the menu. but when i press
the green button for start search it pick up only 1 transponder. i keep pressing
the red button to search all network but it just wont find any.

is my box dead? is there a way around this?

thanks rgds

ok after reading up on it. for auto search i have to select network id. the problem
is my box doesn't have any list. it keeps saying searching for network and then says complete
please wait. when i exit, the easy installation menu pop up and i agian select auto search.
the box is stuck in this loop.

any way to fix this.

Hi, the box is A780 with may/2010 firmware. it was working and moved it to another room, the channels
disappeared. so i did a scan, no luck. so i did factory reset and that swhen the problem started.
i flashed the box with latest firmware still no good. i reflashed with the original firmware, still no net-id
to choose from for scanning.

tks

Take it back to the room where it worked, also install the latest firmware June https://dooby2oons.forumotion.com/kryptview-f18/new-firmware-18-0610-t2007.htm
If using box in another room "home plugs "may be your best option.
Presume your area has gone to Nag 3

did you have 2 subs upstairs and downstairs and now have 1 downstairs
as you can get 2 signal levels because of 1 not used.

thanks folks.

i finally sorted this out. my box never gave option of choosing network id/area.
i didn't give up.
here's what i did:- press menu. select user preference. enter pin. select sat/tp option.

when in sat/tp screen, i selected my area, ex-cw, and pressed right arrrow button.
which brought up list of trandponders assigned to my ex-cw.
in my case there was just one tp. so i deleted it and still in prefernce menu, i selected delete
all channels.

went back into auto search and selected my area and network , then pressed green option for search.
on pressing green i pressed the red button. the box started a proper search and picked up 140
transeponders and all the corresponding channels, about 460.

so the box is up and running

Very Happy

i hope this helps others in same situation.

thanlks again folks, for the effort and support.
