The Box Super - cannot fix

Can anybody help me. This is the first time I have had to manually put in codes. I have put codes in and the box always reverts to it's original setting. Have looked on all forums but do not understand some of the info. Can anybody give me really basic help?

when storing each line hold the ok button on remote for 4 secs.but u can now update it with new firmware.

Thanks have got channels now but how do I use firmware, do I have to use the null modem cable and computer?

yes u need both....

Getting fed up now tried to rescan setanta according to forum notes and have now lost all channels again, when I reenter the codes everything reverts to F's will not save anything, I think I have been beaten

set default key and reenter fresh data.

Have tried default key and followed setting instructions very carefully but box will not store new keys.

if you have starview boxsuper you can install new patch so you dont need 2 input keys

goto download section follow the links download latest gtrom 8.02

using rs232 lead install new patch

Thanks for your help it is the Box Super. I have the null modem cable but as I use a laptop I need the USB connector. Also I am a complete numnut with technology, but I will try again once I have the cable.
