trying to updated a new box

hi all new to all this ive got my self a kryptview a780 trying to updated software from pc. got win 7 when i try to update from loader i get    ( the downloading is not requested) can any one help

Possibly using the wrong cable.
Go to menu-System Info--what date?

Box can be updated via remote-menu--Installation--0000--S/W update, this has been busy recently so best to try early morning.

It's a new box to you, likely been updated before, as above what date is firmware on the box.

no its brand new just out of the box

These boxes have not been made for years, Menu-System Info what date.?
If only FTA firmware on box what firmware (date) are you trying to install.?
As posted before if firmware is not FTA it may be possible to update via remote hence the reason for asking whats on the box now.

in the code send box i get a read REQ fail!

The firmware on the box is old but may be able to update via remote first try menu_installation_0000_s/w update.

Cable update, download not requested normally means wrong cable being used, has it been used before.?

Not knowing what PC/Laptop your using but if new connects from USB to 9pin on box, as said try updating via remote first.

If the box has been used in a different area NetID will have to be changed, from a VM sub box (Virgin box you pay for) from VM remote settings_tech stuff_ No 1 is your netID eg Dundee 40982., tell me the number

i hear even the newer boxes out have a later date in case its the same of an updated one,v4.0.02 is the give away=old.
