Last few days,no discovery channels,done a rescan from wall now no discovery and a few others not even being found,tried a few different things and nothing seems to be working,firmware all uptodate,now this morning nothing but channels 1-5.is this me or anyone else.

Discovery/Quest use the same TP check here for others that use that TP if also off, a TP is missing, presume when your say lost the channels is not scrambled.

Thanks for that i am scanning direct from the wall,numerous attempts and still not being picked up,everything else ok,looking at the link posted the Tp list i am missing is 195.00,so how would i go about adding this is if it doesn't do it when scanning?

Ok so went into sat/tp edit and into telewest No12 shows TP 195.00 SR 6.952 Qam 256,so why isn't it picking it up and can i do anything about it

195.00 is not the TP for all areas and unlikely to be yours, different areas different TPs.

Best to state your area then someone will help with the correct TP.  for missing channels, try dreamshiner1 he maybe from your area.

Don't try other areas as all other channels are working, some try a factory reset but NetID has been known to disappear, send a PM to dreamshiner1 for the correct TP for your area

Ok,went to check my dads box today,he still shows discovery but it ain't working,didn't do a rescan incase it comes back but the channels i am missing he still has albeit not working,so a tp has defo changed,have pm'd dreamshiner1 so will await response,do the tp numbers move by much i.e a couple of digits higher or lower or can it be anything

Someone from another forum was in contact today, they also have a problem with 515. Sky Sports News does your work if so what's the TP, their are from the same area, have said they will do a power scan (different box) and get back to me.
TPs change eight digits up/down eg 195-203-211

Go on SSN press OK (centre button) then the large grey one top/left, third row down eg 211.0 6952Ks/s
Just noticed your Dad's box still shows Discovery, does it show scramble, if it does check that TP also

The TP is 539.0

ok so assuming i find the correct tp for discovery channel,etc and i add it to the tp list do i then do a manual scan to find the channels or turn on standby power mode and let it find them itself

You do a manual scan as the standby mode appears to be unable to pick up that TP.
Your Dad's box still shows Discovery, does it show scramble, if it does check that TP and do a manual scan on it.

dads box does show scrambled,bit confused now,do i not need the correct tp to do the manual scan or is that the reason for doing it ,i.e it will find new tp during scan,as his tp for that channel is the same as mine just now.

Scrambled or no video means bad internet connection likely a bad splitter or cable
No signal means missing channels

Auto scan from the wall socket (no splitter) it should pick up TP for discovery

just got hold of a mate his discovery is also showing no or bad signal ,the tp is 235.00,i added this to my tp list and set a manual scan but came up failed
