s/w down load
i have a problem with my box wich is not getting all the channels well im only getting terestial stuff,this is the weird bit i have tried every think to get this box working and the box has all the latest firmware,today i took it to a freinds house it worked fine after we reflashed it
s/w down load was saying upgrade complete,when i get it home and wire it up i get no channels excpt terestial and the s/w update is stuck on searching update,the onle difference
i use ethernet bridge and he uses wire,i have been using this box for over a year and it has recently gone off,
look forward to your advice regards

if the box was updated you dont need to do it again,if its a different area maybe a factory reset and rescan is needed,sounds like your connection is not connecting,try box off at rear and modem and router also off for 30 secs then on and see if it gets an ip addy.

i will try this but it sounds like a reboot, by ip addy do you mean ip address,i did a rescan when i got home tryed his area and mine i should of said this sos and yes it sounds like a bad connection,i am using home plugs witch have been ok, could it be this.

Try a different Net ID,your area always seems to have problems with Net ID's
From a VM sub box, settings__Tech Stuff__Net ID (top) is the correct one to use.
Check all cables eg ethernet

hav'nt got vm sub box is there any other way of checking net id,cheers.

Best to ask someone near to you or these may help.
NetId - 40965 (a005) - Knowsley 1
NetId - 40966 (a006) - Knowsley 2
NetId - 41008 (a030) - Liverpool TDN Trial
NetId - 41016 (a038) - Liverpool TDN
NetId - 40986 (a01a) - NGRHEE Knowsley
Still reckon your cables maybe faulty as the box worked previously,although it would have changed if used at another address with a different Net ID

hi jonpc i tryed 3 of these when i got it home so i think it is a cable fault
so i will unplug every think and start again wont be today though the grandson has hogged the telly for playstation,good thing is i know its not the box thats faulty,thanks lads i will let you no how it goes.

Don't forget to check the splitter.

just sorted this out,my home plug was pluged into a 4 way ganger and the pin holes it was pluged into had a bad connection, only found this out by accident,now everything has just gone off,lol or cry.
