Blade 7000 : Connection Failed!!! Empty Blade 7000 : Connection Failed!!!

Post by outatime Thu Dec 22 2011, 22:30

Hi All

Problems already, box arrived today, hooked it upto my D-Link Virgin Media router and it took forever to pick up an IP address and when it did it then wouldn't connect to upgrade firmware or Blade Online. When I click on Blade Online it just freezes for a few mins and then goes back to the menu again. Its just not picking up internet and its sitting only a couple of feet from the router, tried different cables too.

Driving me mad, someone please help

Thanks

OT

try menu>ip settings>press red button to scan an ip address. once done try blade online again to see if you now have internet connection. depending on what firmware and router you have it may not find an ip address automatically thats why you have to do an ip address scan.

Thanks for that, I did it and it did pick up an IP but still failing on connection, its got to the a router issue, not sure what but Virgin are installing the 100meg connection for me tomorrow with a new router so hopefully that will fix it. Fingers crossed. Doesn't appear anyone else has the issue I am!

Don't matter using Sky feed, but some servers dont like giving lines to Sky subscribers.
Try connecting the box direct from the modem to box via ethernet cable.

I had it connected direct to the box from modem, but couldnt get it set up from scratch. When I get to the point of putiing in blademedia.serve.com it just comes up connection failed. Mad

dont know this box,but did you follow hitecks guide and i see a connection code to input, does box modem or router need to be powered off at rear for 30 secs then on to connect, some cable boxes you need to do this.

The software that was on the box when bought should have been FTA are any of these channels being picked up.
What software is on the box__Menu/Installation/System Info
Presume you have a fixed dish and trying for 28E sat.
