A780 box

I was looking to buy a box. If I buy the ones on eBay. Do u just plug it in? Or do u need to connect to computer and do other stuff? Any info would be great.

Got an Ethernet connection and Internet connection. Ok at connecting box. Just wondering if I need a program on comp to set up.

you need to flash it once then you update via remote, an easy box to work . after flashing scan on your provider ,plug your ethernet into your router and away you go
read a few posts about this box, for set up ,files, etc i think it will be a780.
as the server is unstable at the moment unless youre getting it cheap,mb not worth it,

Can do everything else apart from flash. Were can I find out how to do that?

If the box was bought from Ebay there is a chance the firmware is already on the box.
Menu/System Info__Date should be 24/04/11

If the box has this years date on it,
Menu/Installation/S/W Update

To be fair mate, I would hold off on a kryptview.

The channels are down more often than their up at pressent.

Does anyone know if you can put a box in another room without having to run the VM signal from outside to the box.?? I have box in living room was looking to get box in bedroom as well.

you will need to put a splitter on your feed for your second box.
if your box is too far from router for ethernet you might think about homeplugs

Heard something about video recorders or something like that. They send signal to other tv? Any1 used them? Are they any good?

signal in by coaxial cable and out to other source,it used to go to tv if power was cut off the vcr,plus it usually gets an added boost,not to sure if you have to adjust rf signal to work.
