scrambled channels

hi everyone

is it my set up but lost a lot of channels scrambled??? well it sais scrambled or no video or even the channel is there but un watchable is this the case for all in southwest on v/m please help

have you tried a reboot of router and box and modem switch off at the rear for a minute then on,what are your quality and signal levels like?

hi stange i plug box into where it comes into the wall get all channels move back upstaires poor and scrambled i have a splitter checked all connections fine will try and switch off then back on

i had the same problem, a simple signal booster on the box upstairs should solve your problem ,you lose quality with splitter.as morehelpme said check the signal quality on a few channels on main feed, then try upstairs, you will see a difference

hi thanks for your help sorted the problem out i think as i did not have enough cable i also had to join with a proper joiner i think thats why i was getting problems bought new cable enough to do the job seems to be ok do you have to have vm box installed as well can they detect ?????

no m8 you dont need vm box and yes if they wanted they could detect you

i quess best keep it plugged in then

always handy if you have a box ,you an plug it in a spare room, handy for the i player

VM can detected the box is not connected and will find it strange that someone is paying for a box and not using it..
