Factory reset and scan may be needed.

If box is working OK best to leave it as it is, if it's not broke don't fix it.

Two things it needs to be used on the latest batch and onwards of KV’s as they have new protection chips. The symptom if not used on new ones is that the numbers on the display will roll from pr01 to about pr250 and it will keep cycling. Any box that does that will need the new firmware. Also it has a additional server so it’s a benefit to downloaded for smoother service. Download for present boxes running can be done through the installation menu and then s/w update within mins.

i installed the latest software,[thurs]
over the weekend my picture quality is crap on sky sports >green and pixalating.
ive done a factory default setting ,no better
it settles after a while,any ideas

Reinstall the old firmware, as I presume you do not have a box from the latest batch.

There has been trouble with KV boxes earlier today on movie channels

maybe see if the new server settles down before i re-flash
getting a new box this week what bin file should i put on it

Not knowing which dealer you use can say if it's from a new batch or not.
Best to put the old one on first if it's not OK then it's very easy to update with remote to the new one.

number of posts around saying that signal levels are dropping,need about 74 % signal and quality

rescanned to original s/w >factory default >scanned
im getting average 88% signal , the picture is ok its just goes green, it has to be a fault in the box

Is the Kryptview on a count down like the sv7 is with the new framwork as my sv7 is on a 12 month count down now

As yet that is unknown, but KV is the better box although it's server allso has problems like SV7
