STARVIEW 7 EPG NOT WORKING

Help anyone,
Starview box working fine apart from recording from the EPG. Whatever I record this way it always switches to DAVE TV. Any ideas on how to get around this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Only a guess but is "Dave" or that channel number your default.

Try recording manually without timer what happens then

Hi, thanks for replying. I dont know if Dave is my default channel and I dont know how to set or change the default channel. I can record if I set the timer manually in the control panel, but if I try recording using the EPG timer it always defaults to DAVE, even if I press the record button to record what is showing it vhanges to DAVE.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Try another stick that may be the problem.

I have tried various hard drives and memory sticks but still have the same problem. A mate has the same problem so I guess it may be a firmware problem?

Delete the "Dave " channel.

Does you mates box also default to "Dave"?

I have deleted Dave but it still defaults to it. I have reformatted the drive and tried various drives but it still switches to Dave. My mates box acts in the same way defaulting to Dave. Thanks for the ideas anyway and I will try anything else you can think off.
