is it normal for the bin file to open with vlc media player,
also is the bin file24082010 the latest for kryptview 780

Once the firmware has been installed via cables from PC/Laptop to box it can be updated with the remote control for future updates
Menu - Installation - S/W Update

The latest firmware is 09/09/10

thanks jon, thats what ive got ready for my new box when it comes ,
i unchecked [any file] on vlc properties and the bin came down as normal
