help with starview 6 set up please

Hi there I have followed all the instructions re setting up starview 6 i have all the channels and installed the carling file however I can not get a response to 8989 and also to I can not find the menu option in network to change to upstream any ideas folks

Is the latest Carling firmware on the box (1.10 is the latest)

Did you highlight the accessory?
Once the scan has finished go to menu then HIGHLIGHT ACCESSORY and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.

ok I have successfully loaded carling 1.1 and completed all the instructions but I cant seem to get out of the menu system now ANY ideas welcome folks

you need to read the tut for setting up your box as you need to reset 0000 to delete any channels that may be there and auto scan your provider thats why stuck in menu. as your box is flashed continue from there,

is the lastest file afer the 1.00 and 1.10 firmwares ???? can you confirm this plus if my box works fine is there any need to flash with the new firmware thanks

It is indeed the latest but if your box is working OK just leave it as it is.

hi ive still got a prob with sv6 ive added new firmware and every few secs it is still freezing and scrambling like the previous firmware any ideas thanks ..

is your area raining alot i belive that has a adverse effect on it as i have seen on the opening day of the of the fottobal it was raing alot and the box was very buffering same as today very heavy rainfalll

yes it has been rainging alot today so you reckon its just down to the weather then ? thanks again

probably because otherwise its fine on a normal day/ should be better later on towards the evening

i presume you did a factory reset and auto scan without lan first.
