From the main menu go to Utility and then press the right arrow button and select usb
from the right hand side, you will see the Carling/Guinness file press ok on it and make sure to select SW+ALL DATA UPDATE..
the machine will update and restart (don't pull your memory stick out until the machine has fully started up)
you now need to scan your channels, NO SPLITTERS ON YOUR INCOMING CABLE WHEN DOING YOUR SCAN

all you need to change here is the symbol rate.
The symbol rate determines your area for example N*l is 6887, the other numbers are 6952 for Telepe** and EXc&w.
When you have selected your area go to start scan.

you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on.
Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears

no you can flash the box without the ethernet plugged in.but it will need to be active permanently to work.

The firmware is downloaded from PC to stick ( no TV is needed at this time.
Then to stick to box
This may be best done by someone who as done it before.

Re: Starview 6 GUINNESS firmwares Uk and Ireland
remember always have box powered off while you insert or remove the flash drive, that is how the sv4 and sv5 got damaged.
unsure if this box will work with a bb only as it needs a coaxial input ??

No this section is for Starview 6 only
This is the section for the HD Combo, https://dooby2oons.forumotion.com/starview-hd-combo-f16/
Remember there are two Combo boxes "Lan" and "Non Lan"

Presume you mean the SV 7 firmware
If indeed you have the SV7 just use that firmware, from this link
