Re: New TPs
Hi Jon
I know this seems a silly question but, if I have a blade will I need to rescan? because I cannot get British travel sports.
if I have to rescan how's this done?
Thanks

Re: New TPs
Never heard of British travel sports, is that the correct name for it or is that your name for it.
Is it on this Sky list,
Sky Guide TV Listings - Sky

Re: New TPs
There is a channels list on the box, Menu--Settings--Blade Online--28E-- Pick the one for your area.
There's a few channels missing not just BT Sports therefore best to do a complete scan not just a scan for BT Sports, the channels will not be in order.
Menu--Installation--Channels Search--Pin = 0000--
Scan Mode = Auto Search
Search Type = TV Only
Press red scan button. (No need to touch Frequency)
If you only want BT Sports HD
Scan Mode = Manual
Frequency = 12574
Symbol Rate = 23000
Polarization = H
Search type - TV only
BT Sports SD as above using
12515 (H) S/R 22000

Re: New TPs
Hi Jon
I did the scan as above but I'm still not getting those channels.
I bought the box with the free gift so I have not installed anything on it, it was just plug and play.
do I need to reinstall by getting the channel list? if so where do I get this from, and if so can you point me in the direction of the idiots guide to installation guide please.

Re: New TPs
If the channels are there but show "scrambled" likely your server has not updated, contact gift provider.
Don't use Blade list so no idea if it's been update, Menu-Blade Online-UK Astra-28.2E choose your area.
Not a good idea to buy a gift as provider as their have your money and don't need to update channels, bit like sold as seen.

Re: New TPs
When I bought the box the fella didn't tell me who the provider was, can if find this out anywhere within the box?
how do I choose my area or know which area I'm in?
I thought that I had to buy a gift to get all of the sky channels or can this be done for free?

how do I choose my area or know which area I'm in? Area means were you live eg London, any will do it's only for local channels like BBC/ITV News
I thought that I had to buy a gift to get all of the sky channels or can this be done for free? All channels via a gifts only last for a period of time, then a sub is needed.

Re: New TPs
Jon you said above that its not a good idea to buy a gift. I know that the sub only last for a period of time,but then if I don't then I assume no sky TV? or are there any new boxes available that you don't need to subscribe to like the old star view boxes.

Re: New TPs
Normally when you take a sub, a test line is given if no good you don't take the sub, this option is not available with a gift.
Starview boxes are cable except the combo which needs a sub, Kryptview don't need a sub but the server is up and down all the time and the boxes cost the same as the Blade for non HD channels.
My tip to you would be contact the "fella" about the BT channels,(if they show as scrambled) when gift runs out get a sub not expensive some £25.00 for 6 months.

Re: New TPs
All of the Sky sports channels are there .... none of the BT channels are.
would rebooting just be a case of basically turn the boxes on and off for a set period of time?
I will contact the fella today and ask him..

Re: New TPs
No or Bad Signal is to do with the feed, dish to box or TP problems.
Scrambled Channel, is internet connections or server problems, that's why the fella should be contacted.
Did mention your area, that's nothing to do with Sat was thinking about another set-up at the time

Re: New TPs
yeah its saying no/bad signal, when I was connecting the cable from the dish to the box, I had to join it but I used the proper connector for the joint..
could this be the problem ?
I take it TP means rescan? which I've already done

Re: New TPs
TP means Frequency
So it don't say "scrambled"
Got to BT 1 HD channel press menu-channels-move channels-0000-
Sat 28.2E ASTA
TP 12.574 (H)
Is that what it shows if not what does Sat-- TP show
Press exit twice to return to main screen

You have TPs short, now the easy part most from a earlier post.
Menu--Installation--Channels Search--Pin = 0000--Press Green= Add TP
For BT Sports 1-2 HD
Scan Mode = Manual
Frequency = 12574
Symbol Rate = 23000
Polarization = H
Search type - TV only
Press Scan (Red Button)
BT Sports SD as above using
12515 (H) S/R 22000
Menu--Installation--Channels Search--Pin = 0000--Press Green= Add TP
For BT Sports 1-2 HD
Scan Mode = Manual
Frequency = 12574

Re: New TPs
ok, I done what you said above, and the channels are displayed as being 936- 937-938-939-940 in a group of 5 channels ,,,and i can view them,, but I don't know where they are grouped...or how to get them into my sports group.
if I go to ,,,,groups''''' and go to ,,,,sports,,, then go to BT1-2 sports HD it says bad/no signal again, this is after having done the above
it says saving when I have done above, but as I said I cannot find the channels.

936---940 are at the end of your list, press 936 on remote .937 and so on.
The TP your using for BT1-2 don't exsist any more delete both BT channels
