Presume you have all the channels but some are showing "Scrambled or no video".
If so, looks like your connections to the net for the encrypted channels, check net cables,reboot box, router.
Assume you checked for local faults.

local faults as in what pal internet is obviosuly working yeah they are saying that scrambled tried reebooting it a few times struggling now doing my nut in

Local faults meaning VM TV faults, you said Bolton has a problem, does yours/theirs VM TV box channels work

Problems in the area may mean VM have changed the Net ID in your area, to check from VM box, Menu--Tech Stuff-No1 is Net ID.????? 
Also what firmware is on the KV box, Menu-System Info (date)
Which provider; eg Telewest
