Sounds like you have put your cable in the loop on the back of your box just check to make sure your dish is in the lnb and not the loop I know that if you put your dish in the loop it can cause this problem

Just had a search on a few forums and all I could find was that it was bad cabeling you could try a differant firmware if it is stuck on rebooting go into the engineers set up just press the menu button on the box when you are turning it on that will allow you to install a new firmware if that dose not work it may look like a faulty box

I've had the box crash with just a bad channel list, reinstall the new firmware or go back to the old one then reinstall the new one from a different source

Hi,

I have the exact same problem as you, it will just freeze and display LnbF across the front. Cables are all in the correct place, I have tried to use a different room in the house to check Sly cables work.

When I check dish setting it crashes and also when I try to search channels it will crash.

Sly box works fine when connected.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Post by Jaymzfulwood Fri Feb 10 2012, 13:02

Just scouting around on forums and someone with the same problem said they changed the LnB and it worked fine after that.

Will this be my problem, the sly box was working fine this morning so I cant see why the LnB I am using would be faulty.

Can anyone help me out on that one?

EDIT:-
So ive just got off the phone to my supplier, he says that if the display shows LnB on the display then it means I have a faulty Lnb on my dish, I explained that the original sly box is plugged in right now and working and he still insists its my Lnb, so here I go off out to see ig I can pick one up Smile

Well ive been out and brought a new Lnb, but before i messed around with my already working dish I took it to a friends and tested it on his working dish and still got the same Lnbf display and freezing so I will be sending mine back too. Just out of interest which company/person/ebay shop did you buy from?

Sometimes you do get faulty items, happens with all electrical items so I'm not too bothered as long as I do eventually get a working one.

The bloke I got it from was fine when I phoned him, he said he would replace it. I have been on Blademedia website and put their latest firmware back on the box, that will be ok right?

To be honest I didnt try it with its original firmware on it, i went straight in for the kill.

But I have uploaded the latest stock firmware and it STILL does the same thing, as soon as I go into DISH SETTING or CHANNEL SEARCH, anything to do with the signal the box will freeze and and display LNBF on the front. I have searched high and low for an answer and I cant find anything, I can only assume its a very rare fault with this box :S

Yeh I have t agree with you and like you say it is a rare fault with the box just unlucky I suppose but at least you are able to get it replaced don't know weather you have had a chance to use yours but they are a great box ran mine side by side with a open box s10 and the picture quality on the blade compaird to the s10 was a 1000 times better (yes that much) great little media player as well works great on my moterised dish picks up all channels

This fault code mean "Lnb fault"

It may be that the lnb on your dish is faulty or a faulty lnb has damaged the lnb circuit in the Blade.

Lnb's
can go faulty in extreme weather (freeze temperature cause cracking and
water damage or hot temperature can melt circuit etc.) Or sometimes
just old.

This can lead to bad voltage sent thru cable making unstable operation.

You can try different power board in blade to see if lnb damaged power board.

I have brought a new LNB to put on my dish but I havnt put it on yet, I didnt put it on because I tried it out at a friends house who gets HD Free Sat on his dish without a problem and it did exactly the same.

Surely if im getting full working sly channels on my dish (son is watching cbeebies as I type this) then there is no problem with my lnb?

Well I have just changed the LNB for a brand new HD 3D one I picked up yesterday.
Its still doing exactly the same, it works fine as in I can get on youtube etc... I can play around in the menu and everything is fine, as soon as I go into Blade Online and select the area it plays up, as soon as you exit from the menu and it goes to the channels it goes wrong.

You than have to do a factory reset as when you turn it on it will freeze straight away.

Even if they have read this forum the box is still faulty, I will get it sent back to them tomorrow morning. I will try placing another cable from the dish to the box now but i dont hold much hope

Still the same, new LNB, new Cable, factory reset, when it loads up, select DISH SETTING, after 3 or so seconds it does it again. I have to say im defeated and I dont give up easy.

Thanks for all your suggestions but I think its a safe bet I have a faulty box

Ok its apparently a faulty box due to my faulty LNB burning out the wires on the power board, its been replaced and is apparently working fine.

I STILL don't understand how my sly box works fine if my LNB is faulty!!

Can anyone help me out on that one?

Because the board on the Sky box was not damaged by the LNB unlike the BM box which has a different set-up
