If the TPs change, does one always need to rescan?
Thanks for the update this morning. If the channels are still working for me here, should I still re-scan? What does it actually mean when a TP changes?

usually means the frequency has changed and if your box picks it up on the power scan maybe it has changed position on channel listing also.boxes that dont have power scan lose that channel until a rescan picks it up again.

Thank you for that. I don't think the TPs have changed in my area

I see it is a nationwide thing though having looked elsewhere, I notice that we can still watch EDEN for example
Hope this doesn't last too long. Has something like this happened before with so many going off? I only got my KV last month

if the server is down all will go off maybe the cold snap has frozen up the capacitors in the server or they run out of change for the meter
like i said mic26 the only advice that can be given at the moment is to wait and hope
dont worry be happy

No-He has been on here and also updated the Sticky. His advice is to rescan but I and many others have tried that without success

Thanks! But what upsets me is the variety of messages one gets here and the advice given. Some say-Just wait. Others say-Rescan. So what should I do? I am loath to rescan as it means doing a Factory Reset and potentially losing everything

I'd rather wait till everyone else has got their channels back

Re: If the TPs change, does one always need to rescan?
different problems have different fixes, not everything is the same, with server maintenance it usually comes back quickly,if vm do something to change things, maybe kv need to do a change also and downtime happens.

Now the only problem is the snow and not the server Thanks for all your help yesterday and patience is the best thing when this sort of thing happens. This message board makes it much easier to know what to do
