can anyone tell the best external hdd to use .
has i have a phillips 500gb but blade not recognize it ..
or do i just formatt it ..

Hello buddy,
Your drive should be fine, you just need to ensure it has only one partition and is formatted in FAT32. See the link below for a full guide (as recommended by Blade themselves). Its at the very bottom of the page under the 'Tools' section.

The hard drive does not have to be in format: FAT32.
I amusing a 1TB in NTFS format and runs perfectly, the box seeing 940+GB.
