streaming channels from blade to pc

does anyone know if its possible to stream channels from blade to pcs that are on the same router as the blade? if so hows it done? thanks.

blade box will have a different ip than pc,on pc type the ip address of blade box into browser it should see whats on tv screen then.

Blade box wont accept connection when you type box ip addy in browser, well not on mine anyway..

There is a streaming pc software and beta blade firmware iv'e just uploaded to downloads BLADEStreamServer_ver100_beta
It is intended to stream media files from pc to blade box but might also allow blade to stream to pc ? not tried as yet

Preparation:
------------

1. Install .stb software on receiver.

2. Run BLADEStreamServer on PC. Unblock firewall if asked. Point the software to your media folder.



How to use on LAN:
-----------

1. On the receiver, press F1 to bring up media playback menu.

2. Press the Blue button and enter the IP address of the PC that is running the BLADEStreamServer. (eg. 192.168.1.110)

3. Press OK to connect.

4. You should now be able to see the media folder that you pointed the StreamServer to on your PC. Press OK on the file you wish to play.


How to use across the world!
----------------------------

If you have a fast internet connection you can share your media library with a friend in another house, or even another country! Here's how:

1. On the PC that is running the StreamingServer, set up port forwarding on your router and port forward 8880 and 8889 to the PC's own IP address. (eg. 192.168.1.110)

2. Give your friend your external IP address and he can enter it as above, and watch your media files. Note, you both need a fast internet connection for playback to be smooth.

hi so does the blade stream to pc then?

no. streams pc to blade avi files ect.
