does anyone know what the usb esata and lan ports can be used for on the back of a sky hd box??

i would think maybe they are disabled so as not letting you to rec on external as + box has an internal drive.

the ports are live i have checked and there is a rs323 port on is there any software kicking about the play about with these boxes? or can the ports be used for anything else like malti room ect?

the rs232 can de used for dloading films off the hd with specialist software
