identity parade
Hi folks,
Just been introduced to these forums. There certainly is a treasure trove of info here. Well done.
First, hi all.
Now, a quick question so I can get searching. Is this box a Starview? If not, what should I be searching for?
A quick ID for this could save me hours of trial and error.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
M

Yes, it's a cable box, with RS232 input. Rear panel is like this.
Was working fine up til just before Christmas.
Is Envision the same as Ddigital?

Hi dinero,
Thanks for your searching. Looks very promising. I've some codes to try tonight and if that fails I'll dig out a usb2serial cable and upgrade.

Re: identity parade
Before updating the firmware I was trying the latest codes, but can't get the secret menu up. When I hit 1570 I briefly get the messages "channel enable" or "channel disable" but don't see any new menu. And 2580 has no effect for me. Does the screenshot below ring a bell for anyone? How do I enter codes?
Thanks all.

Excuse my ignorance here, but would I still need to input the new codes with the latest firmware? My understanding is that the firmware was last updated a few months back but the picture only went the week before Christmas?ameerudin wrote:Best way is to update with its firmare

Re: identity parade
The keys worked for me so I'll postpone the firmware upgrade until next time. As I found it difficult to find the Nagravision menu on the DDIGITAL box I'll summarize the procedure below.
MENU > system setting > OK > system information > OK > OK
This brings up the "secret" menu.
Then select nagravisiom, select your provider (first on list?), then OK
and then enter the two new keys, using button #1 to get A B or C, and button #2 to get D, E, or F.
Then OK > SAVE > EXIT > EXIT > EXIT
That should be it!
