it was always a nine pin null modem cable used for flashing these boxes,got an old lappy or desktop you originally flashed with?

never had to flash at it before have ordered the cable now thanks .when its all updated will it work again or do i have to pay one of these so much a month things

Once the box has been updated a sub will be needed, subs can be for diffenent periods of time.

Take a test line first.

keep getting download not requested,what am i doing wrong?

video shows box is powered off and when you press the download/start you power on box it should then see it flashing.

yes the newer 850 needs a new image put on box that has the newcamd firmware.
then you will need a nline [ paid sub ] to open your channels
