hi
heard there was an update out for the above box however when I go into the menu and try to update the box the download gets to 100% and doesn't unzip and install the download is anyone else having this trouble

what setup do you have any superhub or downloading elsewhere?
it may need to be reflashed with the new may file that just come out.

I have a superhub 30mb and no other downloading going on tried it a few times now even left it for 11 hrs overnight just sits on 100% and don't unzip to install

the box will have to be manually updated with null modem cable.

Sounds like your trying to update with very old firmware previously on the box, what date was the firmware before trying to updating.

hi ive purchased a null modem db9 female to db9 female cable and have downloaded the stb editor downtools and the firmware for my box and when i try to flash it i get an error saying downloading is not requested and help or idea what im doing wrong thanks box is all connected and stwitched on

just checked box and i still have old firmware on there 26/04/2012 and the file is just a bin file coppied the video click for click

The usb to serial cable and the null modem cable is it recognised by the computer.
Sounds like a cable problem.

If the modem cable was bought from ebay it usually states it can be used for boxes.

its not a usb to serial its a female to female null modem db9 female to db9 female cable im using a dell laptop with xp on it and ive tried configing the com port and ive tried selecting different port numbers in downtools loader just getting same error message tried doing it how the video says and also tried another way I found by pressing the red button twice then the standby button on the remote

I don't know what was used to flash before I got it already flashed and have normally updated via the box I just looked at the cable I got from ebay and it is a straight wired cable so just purchased another that says it is for box flashing ang has a crossed over pairing in it

dell laptops the older one should work with correct null modem cable hooked to box and lappy,have you the box powered off at rear first then press download,look at the video.

just tried doing mine again through box and now its just stuck on searching new update tried through netgear router and just straight from superhub:(

dont connect to the hub as router is better,try powering off box at back then on and retry,is you lan cable good and is the superhub in modem mode.
