kryptview a750 gone off wont find anyupdate

hi all

i have a kryptview a750 with i connector and it went off tonight i dont know anything about it but this is what i did:-
turned power off at kryprview box
turned power off i connector
turned power off at modem
turned power off at net gear router

then turned all back on still nothing searched for an software update all it says is searching thats it no percentages move any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Does the free to air(FTA) channels work BBC,ITV. if not it may be a cable connection only, VM had problem with BB around midnight in some areas.

hi jonpc at the time i had FTA channels however i turned my tv off went sleep tried it on the next night so far touch wood it still working. is there anyway i can do a firmware update on a new box without using xp? want to upgrade to the 780 but worried i cant do the software update..

Box can be updated without XP,most PC have newer Operating Systems eg Winndows 7/Vista.
A usb to serial adapter is needed with the cable previously used to update KV http://www.freewebs.com/boxsuper/
After the box is updated via cables,later updates can be done with remote control.
There is a chance software will be pre- installed when box is bought,speak nice to your supplier.
