Why would you use an aerial attenuator for cable.

Would have thought IF the signal is too strong a Variable F Attenuator would be the answer,although tried it, no difference,and FTA channels are always OK.
BM Combo works OK with no probs more likely to be the server.

an attenuateor i thought was to reduce voltage not signal strength
