advice please

my m8 got a kryptview 780 he said he used to get most of the cable channels without being connected to the

internet, am i right in thinking that all receivers have to be connected to the internet now to get channels

Your M8 is mistaken boxes have to be connected to the net for encrypted channels eg sport/movies also a live VM feed is needed.

in a way both are correct pre nagra 3 boxes only used coaxial cable ,like sv1-5 eurovox,digivox,etc,then nagra3 came =no fix . the work around boxes now use the internet for boxes to work with a cable or sat feed.
