Have just purchased one of these boxes and connected via router and done scan but do not get all channels. Am not a technophobe so can anyhone help. Do I need to connect via computer as well.

Modem and router have to be on,as with VM TV connection

Has the latest firmware been installed,look in the downloads section.28/0810

Download the DownTool 0927

Also download the loading instructions which are very good.

Computer does NOT have to be on.

Does firmware have to be installed on a new box? Also I have a laptop so does this have to be connected at all times. Have seen the instructions on scanning etc.

yes boxes are sold as fta,no laptop or pc is only used for updating the firmware,the lan cable needs to be connected at all times.

Download the Firmware,DownTool and Download instructions stated in my previous. post.

Read the loading instuctions and update box using the RS232 Null Modem cable that updated your old Starview box.

Stockport Provider = NTL Net ID = 41066
Stockport NTL/EX C&W, 41066 666750 6887
