2 channels only using non lan starvew hd combo

i have just got a non lan combo followed installation using groove rider but channel search only gives me 2 bbc channels and as you would think left me a little miffed anyone help please

Groove Rider 16/02/10 is the latest for that box.
Has the box ever had all channels.?
Factory reset and scan from a direct feed,(no splitter)

thanks for the help i followed the set up instructions by the letter but did not work i then found a slightly different set up insruction also did not bring channels, i reset factory settings after every update (starview, reset, grooverider, reset, boot file, reset). then changed search options to a wider start and finish frequency range on auto qam. which worked
