new smart card??

i recieved my new smart card last week.. i was wondering .. as iv just reported to virgin i havnt recieved it yet.. so they did some update on my box to remove message and said il send another out..
heres my question.. will i be able to use both cards.. as i also have a spare cable box ..

as their boxes have talk back i would think no.
