vermin changes

hi folks just had a nasty shock ,lost all channels including f t a ,as you know they changed some today and for some reason i could pick nothing when scanning .while back the gave me anew box of a different type used here and changed the incoming box from double to single and put a splitter on. first thing i noticed was controllers on same freq thus affecting both boxes. coinscdence ? anyway removing all splitters scanned ok and updated after several attempts. how could these changes have wiped the box clean
