http://www.4shared.com/account/document/7tI7f8c9/KRYPTViEW_aRNeT_loading_Instru.html?sId=lTvDFQyGEXkRgVgM
After updating the box for the first time there is no need for cables for future updates just go to,
Menu >>> installation >>> S/W update and press OK you must connected to the internet for your box will update.
Channels update when box is on stand-by mode and Power Search Mode is On
Menu - Systems Settings - Other Settings - Power Search Mode = ON
Scanning for channels
[flash(425,350)

Re: Set-Up Kryptview A780
You are right an ethernet cable is needed from router to TV.
Best bet is to use "home plugs"which use the electrical wiring in the property, two would be needed.

Re: Set-Up Kryptview A780
yes if you have a pc with xp and a serial port for flashing and a null modem cable it is much easier, vista and usb and laptops are messy.

Re: Set-Up Kryptview A780
There is a update for KV 780,
Quote from KV
"Just a minor addition. In the menu there is system information. If you press the green button then it checks the ip. Two reasons for this just a quick check to see if the box is connected to the net and most importantly if you are using a vpn then you can make sure that is working. It brings up the ip"
