Dedicated James Bond channel coming to Sky Movies
It’s been nearly 50 years since James Bond began saving the world from scurrilous megalomaniacs bent on world domination. From 1962’s Dr. No to 2008’s Quantum of Solace, Her Majesty’s super spy has worked tirelessly to protect us from criminal masterminds and their almost unbeatable henchmen while remaining dapper and debonair in his dinner jacket.
To mark the suave commander’s half century, and in anticipation of the upcoming Bond movie, Skyfall (released 26 October), we’re introducing Sky Movies 007 HD. It’s an exclusive, dedicated Sky Movies channel on which you’ll be able to revisit your favourite Bond movies in stunning high definition, uninterrupted by commercial breaks.
From 5 October to 4 November, Sky Movies customers will be able to enjoy all 22 of MGM Studios’ Bond movies on demand with Sky Anytime+. Bond will also be available on demand through our award-winning multiplatform TV service Sky Go using your compatible smartphone, iPad or laptop, as well as our brand new streaming internet TV service NOW TV .
As a bonus, Sky Movies 007 HD will be showing Bond outings not made by production company EON. So you’ll be able to laugh along to David Niven as Sir James Bond and Woody Allen as Dr Noah in the surreal 1967 spoof Casino Royale, as well as witness Sean Connery’s 1983 return in the aptly titled Never Say Never Again.
There’s even the exclusive UK premiere of 1954’s Casino Royale, the US TV movie starring Barry Nelson as American agent James ‘Jimmy’ Bond, Michael Pate as his British assistant Clarence Leiter and the inimitable Peter Lorre as Soviet agent and compulsive gambler Le Chiffre.
Plus, there’ll be plenty of Bond extras including a Skyfall: Behind the Scenes special.
Catch Commander Bond on Sky Movies 007 HD from 5 October to 4 November.
