starview combo USB

hello, i have factory reset my starview combo and was ready to load the new carling file with the usb but the file does not appear in the usb box also the previous carling file is not in the system information, it's as though the receiver has been wiped clean, the FTA channels are on, i have tried 4 different usb sticks and also tried the rear usb port, i have tried switching the combo on/off at the rear with the usb in/out,is there anyway the carling file can be loaded through the RS232 port,i would appreciate any help
